Size Guide

Size Guide

Getting the right fit keeps your dog comfortable, safe, and ready for every adventure. At Awooco, each product has its own size chart because harnesses, collars, and apparel are sized differently. Use this guide to measure your dog correctly, then check the Size Guide on the product page for the exact chart for that item.

How to Find Your Product Size Chart

  1. Open the product page for the item you want to buy.
  2. Look for the Size Guide link next to the size option, or below the product details.
  3. Click it to open the size chart popup with measurements specific to that product.
  4. Compare your dog's measurements to the chart and select the matching size.

Every Awooco product includes its own size chart. Charts may differ between products, even within the same category.

Before You Measure

  • Use a soft measuring tape (fabric tape works best).
  • Measure your dog while standing, in a relaxed, natural posture.
  • Measure snugly against the body without pulling tight.
  • For the most accurate fit, measure twice and use the average.
  • If your dog is between sizes, check the product size chart notes or contact us before ordering.

How to Measure by Product Type

1. Dog Harnesses

Harness sizing usually depends on neck circumference and chest (girth).

  • Neck: Wrap the tape around the base of the neck, where a collar normally sits.
  • Chest / Girth: Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.

Tip: For no-pull and adventure harnesses, chest girth is often the most important measurement. If neck and chest fall into different sizes, follow the guidance on the product size chart.

2. Dog Collars

Collar sizing is based on neck circumference.

  • Measure around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.
  • Allow room for two fingers to fit comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.

Tip: If your dog is still growing, choose a collar with adjustable range rather than the smallest possible size.

3. Dog Apparel (Jackets, Raincoats, Winter Coats, Cooling Vests)

Apparel may use neck, chest, back length, and sometimes weight.

  • Neck: Around the base of the neck.
  • Chest: Around the widest part of the chest, behind the front legs.
  • Back Length: From the base of the neck (between the shoulder blades) to the base of the tail.

Tip: For coats and jackets, back length and chest girth are especially important. A garment that is too long or too tight will restrict movement.

4. Recovery Suits & Onesies

Recovery suits usually require chest, back length, and sometimes weight.

  • Measure with your dog standing naturally.
  • Choose a snug but comfortable fit that allows normal movement without excess fabric.

5. Leashes

Most leashes are offered by length rather than dog size. Check the product page for available lengths and recommended use (standard walk, hands-free, multi-dog).

Between Two Sizes?

  • If your dog is at the top of the smaller size range, consider sizing up for comfort.
  • For collars, ensure you can fit two fingers under the collar when fastened.
  • For harnesses and apparel, prioritize chest girth if measurements fall between sizes.
  • When in doubt, contact us with your dog's measurements and the product name before ordering.
